Greetings Lords & Ladies,
Today, we’re excited to share an upcoming preview of one of our biggest updates yet for Noble Legacy—introducing new systems, deeper immersion, and greater control over how you build and rule your kingdom.
Welcome to a first look at the Life & Death Update.

Creative Mode and Visual Upgrades
We’re introducing Custom and Creative Mode—a new way to build without limitations. Design freely on a flat landscape, experiment with layouts, and create prefabs in your own sandbox experience.
We’ve also updated early progression visuals. Tier 1 buildings now use classic Wattle and Daub construction, while Tier 2 introduces clay roofing, giving your villages a more authentic medieval look.

Improved Management and Control
Take greater command of your settlement with new quality-of-life systems. You can now preview building radius placement for structures like the Storehouse, allowing better control over resource coverage.
Harvesting and crafting priorities have been added alongside limits, giving you the ability to fine-tune your economy and prevent bottlenecks.
We’re also introducing the Edict System, allowing you to issue village-wide policies that shape how your kingdom operates.

Raid System Rework
Raids have been completely redesigned to create a more strategic experience.
Introducing the Town Bell, your first line of warning when danger approaches. Enemies will now focus on stealing your stored wealth rather than chasing villagers into their homes, reducing frustration and improving clarity during attacks.
When the bell tolls, prepare your defenses.

Combat and Exploration
Players can now equip torches, allowing for better navigation during nighttime. This feature will be expanded to villagers in a future update.
Unarmed combat has also been introduced at the request of the community. If things don’t go your way, you can now fight back without a weapon.

The Affliction System
Survival now goes beyond resources.
The new Affliction System introduces sickness and injuries driven by two core stats: warmth and hygiene. Villagers will react to environmental conditions, becoming cold or wet, making harsh weather more dangerous if they are not properly prepared.
To maintain health, you’ll need to manage hygiene by placing Washtubs at homes and constructing the Bathhouse, supported by the Bathmaiden role. With the addition of the Herbalist, Healer, and Apothecary, your villagers can now receive proper treatment and care.

Looking Ahead: Death Systems
We are currently placing the finishing touches on villager death systems as we move further into survival mechanics. This will introduce the Gravedigger role, grave plots, and burial systems tied to the Church.
More details on this will be shared soon.

Quests, Heroes, and World Expansion
We are expanding how players acquire villagers through new hero recruitment quests.
Meet Hardwin the Hermit, a unique character who can be recruited through a dedicated questline. This is our first hero, with more planned as development continues.
New scenarios have also been added, including Highstone and Iron & Blood, offering new challenges and learning opportunities.
Additionally, we’ve begun rolling out dynamic quests and looting systems. Villagers will now file requests in your Ledger, and players can discover points of interest such as camps, broken carts, and scattered debris that may contain valuable loot.

A More Living World
The world continues to grow with new systems and interactions.
Players can now acquire pets and trade animals through the Animal Trader. Production has expanded with new buildings such as the Bowyer Workshop and Apiary.
Villagers are more alive than ever. The population cap has been increased from 50 to 70, and dialogue has been expanded to reflect morale and afflictions.
UI, Controller Support, and Localization
We’ve updated the user interface with improved fonts and fully in-engine rendered portraits, replacing previous placeholders. This will continue to be refined over time.
Controller support has been improved and will continue to receive updates. Localization efforts are also ongoing as we work toward broader language support.
This update represents a major step forward for Noble Legacy as we continue developing toward our full vision.
As always, your feedback helps shape the future of the game.
Thank you for your continued support. Rule wisely, and we’ll see you in Greenwood.
